Most eBooks operate using Windows 95/98/NT, ME or XP and the
Internet Explorer 4 or higher browser as a platform.
The Internet Explorer (IE) browser does not have to be the default
browser on the user's computer.
Once an eBook is downloaded (like any other file), it can be
viewed by double clicking the file name in the My Computer window
or the Windows Explorer.
eBooks are compiled webpages. They can contain anything a webpage
can have; including graphics, photos, text, music, animation,
and even links to websites. They will operate for offline viewing,
although the user must have an Internet connection open to use
any website links.
eBooks are easily updated. They can also be enabled for printing,
so you are not restricted to screen viewing. |
